Universal Piping Industries maintains a 135,000 SQFT fabrication facility centrally located in Georgetown, Kentucky.
This UPI operation is equipped with 6 overhead cranes, 4 overhead doors, 2 truck docks and a paint booth to finish structural steel & modular pipe racks.
PAPERLESS FACILITY
To create a paperless shop, we invested in MSUITE software. Each welding station is equipped with it’s own computer where workers can view the latest drawings in real time, ensuring we’re fabricating off the latest cut sheet and know exactly when product will be complete. The software also integrates with our machinery on the floor, ensuring the exact design specifications.
DESIGNED FOR LARGE MODULAR BUILDS
It was important to us to design a facility capable of handling our large modular builds. Knowing how much our customers rely on our capabilities to fully modular build a variety of equipment, we designed this building specifically to accommodate large modules at nearly 37’ to the hook. With this space we can fully modular build chiller plants, utility systems, paint circulations systems and a variety of modular pipe assemblies.
Our manufacturing facilities are ASME certified and perform unique welding procedures, including:

- Submerged Arc
- Shielded Metal Arc
- Orbital
As a leader in modular construction, UPI also has the capability to produce any pipe fabrication offsite so costs, schedules and engineering can be controlled, while the quality of our product and safety considerations are maximized. By eliminating construction activity from the project site, we can reduce site disruption and vehicle traffic, improving overall safety, security and the construction process.
